I earned my bachelor’s degree from Biola University in Communication Disorders with a minor in Biblical Studies. Between Biola and graduate school, I traveled to York, England and attended a Bible College for a semester, allowing the euphoric aura from different countries to permeate my imagination. In 2012, I completed my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Through the seven years of schooling, I completed elective classes in Creative Writing and provided editing services for term papers and theses to colleagues (I’m now thoroughly sick of, though quite proficient at, APA format, phew!).
Once finished with school and under the provision of a supportive husband, I spent the next year writing. Four times, I’ve attended the Colorado Christian Writer’s Conference. I’ve been a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) for three years, during which I placed first in the ACFW Ohio Hook Me Contest. I was greatly involved in the ACFW Critique Loop and provided occasional full-manuscript edits per request (one of which went on to get published). I am a member of The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network, The Bestseller’s Society (highly recommended), and I am the sole reviewer of a Christian Book Review Site geared toward teen readers and their parents, providing Christian reviews of speculative fiction novels. I am also a contracted author with Marcher Lord Press, the premier publisher of Christian Speculative fiction.
My goal in freelance editing is to help writers move forward with their manuscripts, encourage increasing imagination, and offer the talents with which God endows me for this life.
